20 Punk Rock Albums Turning 20 In 2020

The album that launched the pop punk veterans into the mainstream, Pennybridge, Pioneers is probably the the best album Millencolin has put out to date. It's the Swedish punk group's 4th CD and the first to be recorded outside of the band's native country, opting to create the record in Hollywood, California instead.

The name came courtesy of the group's hometown, Orebro, which in English translates to Pennybridge. It's a fitting title when you consider Millencollin are the biggest pop punk band to come out of the Swedish town. It's cultural significance transcended the European continent and became their first certified gold record after selling more than 35,000 copies in Australia of all places.

Pennybridge, Pioneers also contained a pair of songs that were included on the soundtracks of multiple gaming franchises.

The album's most successful piece "No Cigar" was represented in the soundtrack's of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, Jeremy McGrath Super-cross World, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD. The album's 13th track "Pepper" was featured in Music from and Inspired by Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 though not being included in the game itself.
