14. Jungleland (1975)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aRhqVWUPPs Finishing off the "four corners" of the Born To Run album, we have Jungleland, Clarence Clemons' signature song. When Clarence was around, this is the song you waited and hoped to see live. The band still plays it live with his nephew Jake taking over the famous sax solo, and he does an admirable job. He plays it good, very good in fact. But this one will never be the same now that the Big Man is no longer with us. Clarence would often say that people would come up to him and tell him that his solo in Jungleland changed their life, and it is easy to see how that could be the case. Bruce might have driven his band crazy with all of the takes during the Born To Run sessions, but a song like Jungleland proves that the time was well spent. 13. Badlands (1978)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2SQwRY2-s0 Due to a legal battle with his former manager Mike Appel, it took Bruce three years to release the follow up to Born To Run. The album that fans were rewarded with for their patience (Darkness On The Edge Of Town) was worth every single minute. It is a rare occurrence for an artist to produce back to back albums as good as Darkness and Born To Run. It's a one-two punch nearly unparalleled in rock and roll. Among Springsteen fans, if you ask them what their favourite album is, most of the time they will respond with one of these two albums, and there's pretty much a 50/50 between them. The album starts out with Badlands, a song that punches you in the mouth from the get go. This is another song that when the drums start up live, no matter how many times you have heard it in person, you will always get a rush.
