2019’s 10 Weirdest Music Collaborations
7. Taylor Swift And Brendon Urie - ME!
Speaking of emo giants, I wonder what Brendon Urie must be thinking with the announcement of Fall Out Boy, Green Day and Weezer’s Hella Mega Tour announcement. Panic! At the Disco could’ve been there if Urie hadn’t gone down the pop star Adam Levine wannabe route.
Instead, Urie joined Taylor Swift on the first single of her seventh album, Lover. Can you imagine the I Write Sins Not Tragedies performer collaborating with the Love Story and You Belong With Me singer ten years ago?
Regardless, Urie was credited as Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco on this track, so this is now officially the second most successful single by the band. Congratulations ME! A suitable label for a band that is a shell of what it once was, with Urie now the only member. We don’t have High Hopes for a return to pop punk for Urie. For Taylor, it was a weak self-centered silly single for a decent album in her repertoire with LOVER.
