3. Velvet Underground (Self-Titled)
Well it's getting late, and she has to wake up early to finish her Buzzfeed application. As you guys drive home, play "After Hours" by The Velvet Underground as a hint that you want this night to last forever. Maybe put on "Pale Blue Eyes" ("OH MY GOD!!! LIKE FROM ADVENTURETIME!!! JESSE EISENBERG IS SO QUIRKY""). Anyway, this overlooked Velvet Underground album is a must-have for anyone looking for hipster mood music. While "The Banana Album" is the one you are probably familiar with (without ever listening to any of the songs on it), The Velvet Underground has an amazing discography full of depth and incredible composition. While talking about the Velvet Underground, it's important to say the following two things: "The Velvet Underground... their first album sold a hundred copies, and inspired a million bands" followed later by "The Velvet Underground are great, but Lou Reed's solo live album is just amazing" (thanks Dad for that one).
