6 Potential Future Headline Acts For Download Festival
2. Rush
Canadian prog rock legends, Rush have been dazzling audiences since 1968, and have sadly started to slow down in recent years.
Citing health issues as the main reason, the band has given up full-time touring, but this does not mean that a one-off Download Festival performance is off the table.
Sunday, the festival's closing day, has reserved it's headline spot for the older, and more iconic bands in recent years, and Rush fits that criteria perfectly. What makes the case even more is the fact that Rush has never performed at Download, despite their iconic status.
With a stellar reputation and live performances that still hold up to this day, these talented Canadians are the perfect band to close-out the weekend at Download, but their addition to the headline slots in any form would be a very welcome addition to any year at Donnington Park.
