6 Things To Expect From Ed Sheeran's Second Album
Ed Sheeran continues to go from strength to strength with a heart of gold to match, but can his success continue?
Since releasing his debut album '+' in 2011, Ed Sheeran has gained massive success worldwide, playing a two-year tour from a small venue in Southampton to finish with three nights in Madison Square Garden in New York, as well as supporting Taylor Swift for 64 dates on her Red Tour and duetting with Elton John at the Grammy Awards. Now we're getting very close to a second album release, and it couldn't be more anticipated. And not only has Sheeran been gaining a reputation for his music, but also for his big heart - Sheeran has donated his "whole" wardrobe to be sold for charity (East Anglia's Children's Hospices) and was this week reported to serenade a 15-year-old fan over the telephone during her last moments alive, with her brother saying he "sang her to sleep" after her lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. With a UK tour announced months ago for late 2014, with a European leg added recently, as well as playing UK festivals such as T In The Park and V Festival this summer, Sheeran has lined himself up for a big year after his second album's release, possibly following this up with another tour of the USA, having gained wide recognition across the pond in the last two years. On March 20th, Sheeran tweeted the following: https://twitter.com/edsheeran/status/446594079263309824 ...and he's been following it up with a daily countdown ever since - could April 7th finally bring the fans an announcement? It's very unlikely that this will be a sudden release, although it is possible, so now we are days away from what is probably an album title, track list and release date - but what do we know about this mysterious second album so far? Well there are varied reports of tracks titled The Tenerife Sea, New York, Take It Back Now and Photograph, and one including a lot of swearing aimed at an ex, but other than a few live previews of songs nothing's been confirmed yet. Here's a countdown of six things we can expect from a new album and the announcement (or release) in just a few days' time.
