9 Lesser Known Bands That Are Looking To Blow Up In 2020

5. Elephant Sessions

This is folk music with a rocket engine strapped to it and powered by a hadron collider. Elephant Sessions take folk on a cosmic journey to find the divine spark at the core of it. Every member of the band is an insanely talented musician capable of teasing out the very best from themselves and whatever tool they have in their hands.

Live they create a heady wave of frenzy and stupor that washes over the crowd; first comes the uncontrollable and frantic shaking of their limbs as they give in to the overwhelming urge to move their body in time with the music, then there are moments that stood still staring at the stage trying to work out just what is happening up there. As the band blend folk with modern music the sound it elicits is almost transcendent and hypnotizing.

Elephant Sessions already have an impressive list of festival headline slots, radio play, awards, and recognition in the folk circuit, but their sound falls so far outside those confines; it is prog jazz rock pop funk and it is possibly one of the most interesting and unique sounds in the modern music scene, they shatter cliche and use the broken pieces of it to erect a monument that pays tribute to the music of yesterday whilst also serving as a foundation for the sound of tomorrow.
