AC/DC - EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best

7. Powerage (1978)

AC/DC’s worst performing album commercially, 1978’s Powerage is easily the most underrated entry from the Bon Scott era of the band. Despite not featuring any of the bands fan favourite songs, the album certainly brings a solid performance throughout from Scott and the Young brothers. The album is also the first to feature Cliff Williams as bass guitarist.

Powerage was the first AC/DC album not to feature a title track, something that would only be repeated with 1988’s Blow Up Your Video. The album also only featured one single: Rock 'n' Roll Damnation. While this song certainly isn’t bad, it is one of the weaker entries on the album along with the album tracks Gone Shootin’ and What's Next to the Moon.

Riff Raff is certainly the stand out song of the album. The song is five minutes of pure talent on behalf of the ever excellent Angus Young on lead guitar. Scott is also on top form through this song, as well as most of the album.

The other album tracks all bring this same vibe, with stand out tracks being Down Payment Blues, Up to My Neck in You and Kicked in the Teeth.
