Chits - Looking So Good Single Review

Up-tempo punch-drunk sirens on police cars' roofs begin what is another synth-laden slow-burner by Chits, aka Zach Brill. When it finally arrives at its peak, falling down a couple of notes in pitch and then rising back up again, a series of deep-house and tropic-themed knocks bounce around madly inside your head. Then a delicate foundation of jagged beats leads into an infectious synthy crescendo with AutoTuned vocals repeatedly warning 'It's about to go down.' 'Looking So Good' guides you through a kaleidoscopic haze of fast-paced drums and tidal melodies entangled with sonic textures of palpitating rhythms to create a track that breathes, but does not feel forced. Nor does it demand much focus on a single section, as it changes the direction throughout its duration. You are never stuck in one place for too long and you are also not entirely sure what your final destination will be, but you know you are going to end up somewhere €“ a confusing and deafening - yet sweet and synth-drenched place - which leaves you gasping for more. This track is the first single from Chits' forthcoming EP Custom Hype, out digital on October 22nd and on vinyl November 26th. It will feature remixes from Slava, Mess Kind and Helix.
