DOOM: Every Album Ranked From Worst To Best
4. King Geedorah - Take Me To Your Leader
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTkvsbeTiH0The lone record released under the King Geedorah moniker may be DOOM's most divisive album. His lyrical presence is largely absent, but his knack for production runs on all cylinders.
Those who want a "traditional" DOOM album will not be satisfied in the way of him actually rapping on it, but those who cling to DOOM for his beats will be more than satisfied. Out of all of the albums in which he takes the production reigns, this may be his most immaculate. It stands strong on its production alone.
It may be his outright angriest work, with persistent themes of racial and social inequalities running through the album. Though this anger comes from the loud production and the lyrics of the featured rappers much more than DOOM's sparse vocal appearances.
One highlight of the album is Hassan Chop's feature on "I Wonder," in which he ruminates on the bad decisions he has made in his life and the fatal ways in which they have affected those closest to him. The introspection on the record is still very much of its namesake artist, despite the amount of features.
Take Me to Your Leader may be DOOM's most complete idea of a "concept album" in his discography.
