Every Green Day Album Opening Song Ranked From Worst To Best

6. Father Of All… - Father Of All…

At time of writing, Green Day's most recent album was 2021's Father of All..., which has a longer title, but one that is definitely not suitable for family viewing.

It's safe to say that the album was not everybody's cup of tea - YouTube critic Anthony Fantano famously gave it a zero in his review - but that's not to say that it doesn't have its moments. For example, the opening song and title track.

Whatever vocal effect Billie Joe has going on is really cool, although maybe that's just his voice now. The song is also lyrically playful, leaning more into the pop side of things, which isn't a bad thing for a band who can often get stuck making similar-sounding music.

Whilst the album Father of All... wasn't the best thing they've ever done, at least the song of the same name had something going for it.
