Every Iron Maiden Album Closing Song Ranked From Worst To Best

8. Only The Good Die Young - Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son

Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (the best name for a seventh album ever) was released in 1988 and wraps up with the grimly-titled Only the Good Die Young.

The chorus, which is accompanied by that signature Maiden galloping guitar, is mint, so much fun to sing along to and elegantly shaped to fit in what is quite a mouthy sentiment.

Whilst the song is brisk at a mere 4:40, it does also leave a little to be desired. It feels like it's over too quickly, that it had more to give, which isn't that bad of a complaint when you think about it.

A solid closer, Only the Good Die Young was, ironically, ended before its time.
