Every Iron Maiden Album Closing Song Ranked From Worst To Best

9. Journeyman - Dance Of Death

2003's Dance of Death is a notable album, and not just because of its utterly horrifying cover featuring half-naked avatars running directly at you.

The song Journeyman, which closes the record, is the band's first ever fully acoustic number, a feat 23 years in the making. It's even got some orchestral swells in it, which probably made a few diehard metalheads throw up whilst listening.

Different as it is, Journeyman is still a nice tune. Dickinson is on fine vocal form and the subject matter of a weary traveller fits the soft vibe perfectly.

Sometimes, a band can make changes to their sound and it not be a total disaster, with this song serving as exhibit A.
