With Kanye West's braggadocios Saturday night set still ringing in the years, The Who took to the stage on Sunday determined to set the record straight. Glastonbury is the place for old fashioned rock music, at least according to a good chunk of its punters, but Daltrey, Townshend and co. failed to provide conclusive evidence. The irony of a 71 year old belting out 'My Generation' was lost on nobody, however eager the band were to impress. Their set was fittingly loud and energetic, but failed to truly set the festival ablaze. Nobody would dispute The Who's right to headline Glastonbury, but they didn't quite cement their status as true Sunday night greats.
