Grammys 2013: Winners We'd Like To See

Best Pop Solo Performance: Set Fire To The Rain (Live at The Royal Albert Hall)- Adele http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri7-vnrJD3k What really got me here is the €œPerformance€ part of the category name. Rarely does it happen that a live performance of a track sounds like it was studio recorded, but what Adele did on that stage was near pitch perfect at every turn. The overall show was great as well with the violinists, backup singers, and great light show. This pick is hard to argue with, but I€™m sure that Kelly Clarkson will still give Adele a run for her money with €œStronger€ also being a nominee. Speaking of which€ Best Pop Vocal Album: €œStronger€- Kelly Clarkson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xn676-fLq7I The writing on this album is nothing special, the instrumentals aren€™t that great, and the concepts really aren€™t that original at all. €œStronger€ as an album in many categories is just €œpretty good€, but it becomes a lot better when you factor in this category€™s namesake: Kelly Clarkson€™s incredible voice. Clarkson€™s voice has always been big, we knew that since we first saw her on American Idol, but the crazy thing is that somewhere along the way, it got a little bit better. I keep hearing that the best pick in this category is Fun. with €œSome Nights€ because it is the only album in the group also nominated for €œAlbum Of The Year€, but I just don€™t feel like €œSome Nights€ was quite as good vocally as €œStronger€. Here€™s to hoping the conventional knowledge is wrong.
