Guns N' Roses: 13 Notorious Incidents You Won't Believe

10. Vancouver '02 Riot

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUmt70lo9Ew What better way to kick off Guns N' Roses first full-blown North American tour since the 90s than with a riot? That's just what happened on the very first date of Guns N' Roses 2002 North American tour in Vancouver, Canada. About 10,000 people in line at the venue that night were turned away, told that the band wasn't going to make it. Things had started looking bad when they hadn't been let into the building at the scheduled time. Once the announcement was made that the cancellation was official, all hell broke loose. Fans threw rocks and bottles, police responded with batons and dogs. Matters were made worse when it was learned that lead singer Axl Rose's flight into Vancouver had been delayed, and that he had been in the air when the plug was pulled by promoters. In the end, had the promoter opted to wait and extra hour or two and have the show run late, the whole situation might have been avoided.
