Kanye West: Every Album Ranked From Worst To Best

9. Ye

Kanye's most divisive album is his most recent solo record. Ye released at the height of Kanye's brief foray into politics, which was met with a lot of criticism from the media. While some criticism of the album was obviously influenced by this, some issues were also well founded. West threw away a previous album and spent only a few weeks creating this and as a result, a lot of it feels rushed.

However, there is still a hell of a lot to love about this album. It acts very much like a self-portrait of Ye as the name would suggest, delving into areas such as his bipolar disorder and how he's matured as a father. Ghost Town could be argued as one of West's best ever tracks showing how far Kanye's singing has come from his early work.

The 7 song runtime means that it definitely doesn't overstay its welcome and let the negatives outweigh the positives. However, this is a double-edged sword as the album feels far less memorable than some of his other work, making it his worst solo album. Nonetheless, the fact that an album of this quality is some of his worst work proves just how great West's discography is.

Best Track: Ghost Town
