Megadeth: Every Album Ranked From Worst To Best

6. Endgame

Released in 2009 as Megadeth's twelfth studio album, Endgame boasts the impressive guitar work of Chris Broderick following Glen Drover's departure from the band in 2008. On a song to song basis, Endgame is impressively consistent, offering heavy tune after heavy tune, including the band's blistering single Headcrusher. When it comes to lyrics the album is also easily one of Mustaine's most diverse efforts, drawing inspiration from everything from The Lord Of The Rings to the economic crash and even a violent 1997 shootout in North Hollywood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGuhziU_dzc Not only that, the album also features one of the band's best ballads. Despite a weak title, The Hardest Part Of Letting Go... Sealed With A Kiss is a rare moment of vulnerability for Mustaine, and is one of the most memorable tracks on the whole record because of it.
