7. Wait Until Tomorrow
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzAvJR0AvAU Vocals: dUg Pinnick & Jamey Jasta Lead & Rhythm Guitars: Alex Skolnick Bass: David Ellefson Drums Percussion & Additional Vocals: Mike Portnoy A combination of King's X and Hatebreed is almost exactly what you expect; dUg Pinnick handles the more easily-listenable and melodic touches that have given him such a cult following, only for Jamey Jasta to come wailing in like the vocal-chorded sledgehammer we all love, providing a far more heavy edge, but in a very restrained way. It's great to see the formula metalcore built a genre on (the whole 'scream verse, clean chorus' thing) get flipped on its head, and as is always customary with guys like Jasta, when they elect to empty an entire lungful of air heralding in the start of a solo, someone as in-the-pocket as Skolnick take that energy and run with it to great effect. Wait Until Tomorrow might be one of the more formulaic songs on the album by definition, but it doesn't take away from the unique dynamism shown by paring such an unlikely duo as Pinnick and Jasta, the end result speaking for itself.
