6. Rock With You
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5X-Mrc2l1d0 Album: Off The Wall "Rock With You" was the other big number to come from the Off The Wall album and really set the album's atmosphere, as a smooth, disco pop record. The fast pace of the ballad, is one with a good feel and the composition of the track was one worked to perfection. In my opinion, MJ's greatest love song. Written by frequent collaborator of Jackson's Rod Temperton, the song was a huge success and definitely the best track to come from Off The Wall. While many won't remember this one compared to other MJ hits, this song definitely deserves its spot at number six.
5. Thriller
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOnqjkJTMaA Album: Thriller "Thriller" made everybody take a moment, to witness the genius that Michael Jackson had just created. Written by Rod Temperton, the post-disco pop track was filled with funk and horror as MJ again proved to be the ultimate performer. With creepy noises filled by the groovy pop sound, not to mention a rap by one Vincent Price, "Thriller" really had it all. The song revolutionised the art of the music video, with MJ creating the greatest music videos of all time. Directed by John Landis and starring Jackson, we see him turn into a 'were-cat' as well as his iconic dance routine with zombies in the moonlight. Running at over 13 minutes, it changed the style of music videos and is still today the most loved and most recognisable music video by any artist. It was released as a single and was praised by the music community, to this day still one of Michael Jackson's greatest pieces of work. A song which still gets regular radio play and a video that people still praise and adore, "Thriller" was when Michael Jackson had the world at his feet and couldn't put a step wrong.
