Mötley Crüe: Every Album Ranked Worst To Best

1. Dr. Feelgood

By the time Motley Crue got off the Girls Girls Girls tour, they had their sound down to a tee. Even though they still weren't able to nab the No. 1 spot on the albums charts, the buzz around their music had everyone tuning into what their next move would be. While Girls Girls Girls was the initial shot of Motley magic, the band headed to Vancouver and came back with the best records of their career.

Recorded after each of them had gotten clean, Dr. Feelgood is pure unrefined Motley from front to back. Under the watchful eye of producer Bob Rock, the track listing here is full of pretty much everything you come to the Crue for. You've got your ballads with Without You, mammoth riffs like on Dr. Feelgood, and even some more bluesy material on Same Ol Situation.

Even the unintended material ended up being great, with Kickstart My Heart being a relic from the early days that Sixx brought to the band. Coming at the very tail end of the '80s, this would eventually be known as one of the last hoorahs of hair metal...the grim fairy tale where everyone goes home drunk and happy. Despite not being able to reach these heights again on later releases, this was one hell of a sendoff for the classic period of Motley Crue.
