The second single from Justin Bieber’s fourth album, Purpose, serves as Bieber’s apology of sorts to former partner, Selena Gomez. The track topped the charts of 13 countries upon release. A dance video (more commonly known as the Purpose: The Movement version) was released on October 22, 2015 featuring the Royal Family dance crew and New Zealand-based dancers of the ReQuest Dance Crew. It is directed and choreographed by Parris Goebel who is featured in the video as one of the dancers.

Originally planned to be a lyric video, it was later decided to let it remain as a dance video. Bieber himself is conspicuously absent from the proceedings. It became the 22nd YouTube video to hit the 1 billion views mark and was the fifth fastest to do so. In addition, it is also the fourth quickest to reach 2 billion views and the seventh speediest to make it to 3 billion.

Sorry was the second video from Bieber to surpass 1 billion views after his breakout hit, Baby back in 2010. While Sorry is not the biggest selling single of his career, it remains firmly in first place as his most viewed video.
