Ranking All 9 Eminem Studio Albums From Worst To Best
1. The Marshall Mathers LP
The influence of this album is still felt today. Having attended Eminem's recent Twickenham shows, there is no debating what his biggest outright hit is, with the tens of thousands of screaming fans joint in unison to sing the melodic chorus of "Stan".
It's one of those tracks that everyone should hear once, not purely for its effect on the hip-hop and rap scenes, but because of its place in musical history as a whole. The story of Stan shakes the listener to the core no matter how often they listen, sheer genius on display.
Accompany this stellar song with a supporting cast of almost equally brilliant tracks, "The Way I Am" and "Kill You" commenting on the violent lyrics of the previous Slim Shady LP, and "The Real Slim Shady" acting as the perfect twin to "My Name Is", and you've got one of the best albums of the genre, and the best album by the artist.
This album launched Eminem into the stratosphere of superstardom he's been residing in for the entirety of his career since, and rightly so. It is idolised by any who came after him and before him, a true masterpiece of its time and Eminem's magnum opus.
