Released as a single on Every Six Seconds, one of Saliva's most popular and titular songs has become something of a hallmark for a generation. Here's what I get out of "Click Click Boom": a self-explanatory viewpoint into the life of a young adolescent who lives a rough life, surrounded by good and loyal friends, and who uses music as an escape from all the curbing negativity of his/her life. That's what I mean by calling this song a generational hallmark; when released in 2001, that was a time where, when I was growing up, things were great but at the same time lacking, and a song like "Click Click Boom" almost introduces this contemporary image of musical freedom to where, by listening to it just once, you fall in love with the idea of music as a weapon and an artistic tool for escapism. I love songs like "Click Click Boom" for numerous reasons, and its inspiring way of telling us to go big and fall back on music is an incredible milestone for Saliva. I'd go as far as saying Every Six Seconds is the album to go to for a precise definition of what the early days (for a 90's kid) were like. I'm hoping that there are those that are reading this that will agree with me on this matter, because they'll know where I'm getting at on this one.
