The Beatles: 13 Tracks To Forget

7. For No One

Revolver was the album that showed The Beatles were all grown up and far from another rock and pop group, but For No One is so out of place. Paul McCartney's slow-paced tune is just so dark and depressing and feels it would be better suited in an opera instead of on a rock and roll album.

The piano's tempo, muted percussion, and sad lyrics legitimately make this song sound like a funeral march. The use of the french horn is just odd as opposed to unique. It's a very tired-sounding song, fitting since 1966 was the same year that the lads performed their last live concert.

Even worse is that as the most musically talented of the group, McCartney surely knew he was better than this. No offence to him, but this song won't be missed at all.
