Where Are They Now? - The Headliners Of Download 2003
4. Sunday Scuzz Stage Sub-Headliner: BoySetsFire
Kicking off the heavy hitters for the Sunday were 2nd stage sub-headliners and cult political post-hardcore act BoySetsFire. A staple of the unofficial new wave of post-hardcore in the early 2000s, alongside the likes of Shai Hulud, Glassjaw and At the Drive-In, BoySetsFire rocked up to Download on the back of their third studio album 'Tomorrow Come Today', featuring Daredevil OST song "High Wire Escape Artist".
The band would continue to tour before announcing their retirement in 2006, finally committing the following year owing to an injury to guitarist John Latshaw. As with most musicians though, they would backtrack and reunite in 2010, proceeding to tour fairly consistently before releasing their comeback fifth album 'While a Nation Sleeps...' in 2013.
BoySetsFire are yet to step foot back on Donington's hallowed fields, only sporadically returning to the UK to tour with the likes of Apologies, I Have None, Off With Their Heads, Funeral for a Friend, and Gnarwolves among others. The lads do seem to have a pretty dedicated mainland Europe following, allowing them to appear at several European festivals, such as Vainstream, Groezrock, and Hurricane Festival.
