Price: £970 When it comes to sheer, mindblowing coolness, it's hard to beat a quadcopter. These versatile, remote-controlled flying machines can perform extremely precise manouvres and easily navigate through tight indoor environments. Our favourite commercial quadcopter has to be the DJI Phantom II Vision+. This feature-packed device comes with an HD video camera, GPS navigation and a gimbal for image stabilisation. This means that you can set the Phantom to hover in a fixed position in space, unaffected by light gusts and wind, while filming stable 1080p video. The Phantom can be controlled using a smartphone or tablet, with the camera streamed live to the devices screen for accurate control. If the device exceeds its range of 2100 feet or so, then it will automatically fly back to a pre-ordarined GPS coordinate, land, and turn itself off.
