I'm sure there will be those Beliebers who believe that there's nothing that Justin Bieber can do wrong; on the other hand, from anyone looking in from the outside, it's clear to see that 2013 wasn't exactly a stellar year for Biebs. And while he struggled with relationship turmoil with Selena Gomez and the fights with the Paparazzi, it was perhaps the way that he was treating his fans in the past year that really got a lot of people's fingers wagging at him. It was in July that he was spitting on fans that were waiting below his hotel room; that incident was caught by the paparazzi, though there was little in the way of a reaction from Bieber himself afterwards. There were the moments on his South American tour where he ended two concerts early within the space of a week; his fans, still obviously loving their idol, apologised *to* him. Bieber would post a tweet showing himself on an IV drip before hastily deleting it, sending his fandom in to an even more delirious state. But the cherry on the top was right at the end of the year, where a series of mixed messages left his fans bewildered and worried about the possibility of Bieber being no more. After an interview where Bieber stated that he was considering retirement, Justin seemed to play it cool on Twitter, calming fears - until he then tweeted the above message on Christmas Eve. Whilst some celebrated the news like it was the second coming, the Beliebers were left crushed, particularly given the timing of the news over the holiday series. While many would point out that for some, their "obsession" with Justin may have gone too far, it's fair to say that learning that something you're passionate about could be finished would likely illicit hurt reactions from anyone. Of course, the year wasn't over yet; the teasing will he-won't he moment ridiculously went on, as Bieber said that he was actually going to be "here forever" for his fans. All this meant that as 2013 came to a close, there were no clear answers from Justin's camp and his fans were left in a state of limbo. For the sake of those who are still fans, it's only fair to hope that in 2014, there'll be a bit more good behavior from Justin's side towards them - because otherwise, he could just be making more haters by the minute.
