10 Celebrities Who Appeared On TV Totally Wasted

Being a celebrity is oh-so-tough, having to spend half the year on movie sets, then the other half schmoozing with the press talking about what you've just filmed; it's a hard life, and so it's not surprising they spend their down-time kicking back with as many drinks and...other substances...as they can. While sometimes celebrities will appear on TV shows mildly sozzled after a few beers or glasses of wine in the green room and this only enhances their already charming demeanour, the 10 instances below range from hilariously embarrassing to actually tragic, from alchies who didn't know how to clean up for TV to simply actors who were having too much fun the night before and hadn't quite managed to sober up. Here are 10 celebrities who appeared on TV totally wasted.

10. Oliver Reed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=a_yMSOg5bz0 Oliver Reed was certainly one of Hollywood's most famous drinkers, a fact compounded after he claimed to have consumed 106 pints of beer over a 2-day session, a feat even Andre the Giant would tip his hat to. To be fair, Oliver Reed has made countless totally sauced appearances on TV shows such as Aspel and The Word, usually livening up pretty boring, PR-baiting segments, such that actually finding the best one proves something of a challenge. We've whittled it down to After Dark, due in large part to the fact that the show was probably the most boring of the lot, and Reed's appearance was the most idiosyncratic and incomprehensible, resulting in some surreal TV gold. Reed riffs on issues like feminism, thoroughly irritating his fellow guests and also leaving most of them, like us, utterly, utterly confused at what he is trying to say. Red-faced, animated, and ludicrously continuing to drink throughout the interview, observe the highlights in the special mix posted above.
