5. The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik Feeds Her Kids Like A Bird
Mayim Bialik has been a mainstay on American TV for decades, first as a child actor in Blossom and on The Big Bang Theory, playing Sheldon Cooper's girlfriend Amy Farrah-Fowler. It's a pretty well known fact that, like her sitcom character, Bialik has a PhD in Neuroscience. Perhaps a slightly less well known fact is that she feeds her kids like birds do. Or she used to, anyway. She's not alone, Alicia Silverstone courted controversy too when she posted a video online of her doing this. The idea is that the parent will chew the food and then regurgitate it into the child's mouth. Sounds disgusting, doesn't it? In an online column Bialik admitted to doing this "once or twice" with her first son. It's the kind of parenting fad that you could see sweeping through the rich and famous, but it seems that actually this particular trend is localised among just these two celebrities. You know it must be strange if it's too weird even for Gwyneth Paltrow.
