10 Craziest Stories Told On Marc Maron's WTF Podcast
2. Kevin Smith Calls Out Bruce Willis For Being Hard To Work With
Kevin Smith burst onto the movie making scene with his micro budget indie comedy Clerks, which was released in 1994 to positive reviews and a strong fan following. He developed his career further with his subsequent projects such as Chasing Amy and Dogma. The first directorial effort that he did not also write was 2010's buddy cop comedy Cop Out, starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan.
According to Smith's interview with Marc Maron on a 2011 episode of WTF, he and Bruce Willis encountered difficulties on set while filming the movie. Smith stated that he found it hard to work with Willis, who apparently "wouldn't even sit for a photo shoot".
This triggered a feud between the two, with Willis later complaining about Smith's consistent marijuana use while filming.
The story is a surprising one to hear on Smith's episode of the podcast, given that it's not often you hear somebody in the industry call out a celebrity as big as Bruce Willis.
