The Dare: A group of young men dared their friend to stick a metal knife in a live toaster - while filming it, of course. How wrong did it go? It's generally not a good idea to put metal objects inside a toaster that's plugged into the mains. The toaster works by running electricity through very thin metal wire, causing it to become hot enough to toast bread. Touching these exposed wires can cause the electricity to short circuit, with potentially fatal results. In the video below, the daring (or incredibly stupid) man causes the entire toaster to blow up, after jabbing a kitchen knife into it.
