10 Extinct Disney World Attractions You Need To Know About
6. Skyway
Up until 1999, visitors to the Magic Kingdom could use a different form of travel to transport them between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.
The Skyway gondolas were present on the opening day of the Florida park and would allow guests to take a high line view of the Cinderella Castle as they journeyed between lands.
The ride itself had slow capacity and suffered greatly. Eventually the ride was closed following its poor turn over, teenage passengers regularly spitting from the top and the death of a cast member.
The Fantasyland entrance to the attraction no longer exists, but the Tomorrowland station partially remains and is now a restroom area.
