Vice City nearly didn't make the cut given that it's very clearly based on parts of the real Miami, but Rockstar did such a bang-up job creating a distinctly different world that it absolutely had to be included. Visiting Vice City allows you to jump straight into 1980s Florida, as everyone wears pastel shades, goes to the clubs to listen to cheesy synth music, and gets off their faces on the large quantities of cocaine that are frequently shipped into the city from South America. The city comprises of a large number of islands, allowing for some wonderfully picturesque scenery, especially at Vice City Beach, though it's important to be vigilant due to the spate of gang activity that takes place, helping to keep the population well and truly controlled. In short, if you do visit Vice City, your life expectancy just about hits the bottom of the well.
