Chris’ show this year is a unicorn – an hour about the difficulties of being a lonely man trying to date that doesn’t blame women for having standards while claiming to be a nice guy. Instead, this well-crafted hour of comedy looks at incel culture, and the toxic misogyny that sees adult men accuse women of sleeping with literal dogs rather than admit that they themselves maybe aren’t that much of a catch.

Chris has a deft touch with his material, managing to neither become preachy, nor to overstep his social boundaries (he makes it clear several times that his perspective is a very privileged one, being as he's not on the receiving end of the breathtaking sexism he's highlighting). He also keeps the punchlines coming thick and fast, meaning the audience is constantly entertained. It’s an informative and eye-opening show – it’s also very, very funny.
