10 Huge Walt Disney World 2019 Predictions
3. More Indiana Jones?
One rumour that's been around for a few years is that Dinosaur is going to be converted into an Indiana Jones ride. The main reason for this is that the Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland is the same track as Dinosaur with different theming, so many think it would be a "quick fix" to simply change up the ride. Of course it's not really as simple as that.
It would be a huge effort to change not only Dinosaur but also the ride would look kind of odd on its own in the middle of Dinoland USA. I mean Jones is an Archeologist not a Palaeontologist. To fit the theme you'd probably have to change out all of Dinoland USA.
Being honest, I'd be quite happy to see Disney make a change to Dinoland USA. I know that it's meant to look like a side of the road carnival and although I do think that's clever theming, I doubt that many average guests get that. To many who don't know the backstory it may look like Disney ran out of money so bought an off-the-rack mouse ride and stuck in a few carnival games.
I'd love to see a Temple of Doom themed area in Animal Kingdom. I think it would work perfectly, especially as the area backs onto the Asia area of the park. After all archeology is all about learning about history through physical objects, this surely fits with the conservation aspect of Animal Kingdom.
I honestly don't think Indiana Jones is going to come to Animal Kingdom (as much as I would love to see it happen), but I don't think he's going any where at Hollywood Studios.
Again there's been plenty of speculation that the stunt show is going to close. I believe that show will be sticking around for the time being.
There's a new movie coming out in 2021 so Dr Jones is still in the public mind. Since the show survived the major cull that has gone on over the past few years I feel like he's not going to go anywhere for the time being.
