10 Interesting Multiclass Options To Improve Your Dungeons & Dragons Character
2. Rogue/Monk
As two classes that mostly align anyway, combining the Rogue and the Monk is almost a no brainer. The high movement speed of the Monk along with the stealth capabilities of the Rogue means that no room, chest or wallet will be safe from your grubby, greedy hands.
If you want to go for a different spin, this combo is great for any players that want to go down the "spy" or "investigator" route. The wisdom requirements for the Monk, along with the Rogue's lockpick feature means that your party will never be unprepared or under-planned for whatever sadistic dungeon your DM has planned. Just be sure not to bask in your friends' thanks and adoration too much. Stealing the limelight is for the Bards.
You'll also shine in combat if you take enough Monk levels, as a Sneak Attack that leads into Flurry of Blows or Stunning Strike is sure to turn the tide of even the most insurmountable encounters. Just don't get too cocky, or your DM may bump up that Dragon's perception roll a little too high. Uncanny Dodge probably won't save you from being burnt alive, unfortunately.
