Representing the lizard taxonomy, the Indonesian native Komodo dragon looks like it belongs in a prehistoric textbook. This intelligent hunter is one of the most dastardly assassins on the list, and what makes the Komodo so dangerous is the method of its kill.

The Komodo’s technique is menacing as it uses a single puncturing blow to administer a lethal dose of venom. This is just the start of the dragon’s vicious hunting method as it then begins the waiting game, tracking the fleeing target as the toxic dose starts to weaken the unlucky so-and-so.

This pursuit can last for days as the prey starts to lose control of its motor skills. The dastardly attack allows the Komodo an easy meal once the venom has taken its full effect, leaving the target helpless. It will then proceed to eat the vulnerable target alive, or as alive as the venom has allowed it to be.

While the Komodo is not the most aggressive or venomous killing machine on the list, it is by far the most meticulous, waiting for the perfect kill.
