Right-wing commentator and widely-hated provocateur, Milo Yiannopoulos has appeared twice on the Joe Rogan Experience. During his first appearance, Milo discussed current news stories regarding paedophilia and the differences in the approach between the Left and the Right.

Later in the episode, Rogan and Milo talk about their experiences in Catholic schools. After Milo enquired whether Joe was ‘touched’ while at the school, the host responded, ‘no, I got lucky,’ to which Milo disgustingly retorted, ‘you were unlucky.’

Yiannopoulos then clarified that an earlier joke about a priest - Father Michael - encouraging Milo to have oral sex was true. The guest also said he had sex with his English teacher at the time.

When Rogan asked more details about the alleged incidents, Yiannopoulos downplayed the encounter, calling Father Michael a ‘great priest,’ justifying the incidents as him being a ‘very mature fourteen-year-old,’ as well as being more the predator in that situation, as Milo was ‘aggressively seeking out the sexual company of adults as it was his way of ‘rebelling.’

Following this interview, Milo further discussed his justification in a live stream, and went on to say that relationships between younger boys and older men can be ‘hugely positive experiences for those young boys.’

As a result of this incident, Yiannopoulos went on to lose a publishing deal and resigned from Breitbart. It goes without saying, but this is the least that could be done towards Milo regarding his stance on the topic. While it is admirable to refuse to be victimised by such an event, it is downright atrocious to justify it in anyone else's life. This is one example of many where the writer stopped being provocative and proved that he was an apologist for the absolute worst type of abuse individuals can face.
