3. Are We Less Likely To Help A Homeless Person?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5CvGJds6DQ This one will really make you feel disgusted with society. This experiment sees YouTuber Coby Persin and his friend Danny Barbosa going about New York City on crutches seeing how much assistance they receive when they fall over. The catch? Coby is well dressed, wearing a suit, whilst Danny on the other hand dresses as a homeless person. The experiment shows that on the instances when Coby fell people passing by helped him immediately, making sure he was okay and helping him back to his feet. Danny on the other hand was treated like he wasnt even a person, with people walking past him completely ignoring his falls on every occasion, but for one instance. However its worth noting that in this one instance it was a homeless man came to his aid! What the experiment does well This video really emphasises how reluctant many people are to help homeless people, even in situations where they could be injured and in situations where we would quickly rush to assist another non-homeless person. Possible Flaws No flaws spring to mind watching this experiment.
