8. Twister... Ride It Out

Taking over the home of Ghostbuster's Spooktacular, Twister...Ride It Out opened in May 1998.

A special effects show based on the popular movie starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, Twister simulated the force of the deadly natural disaster.

The show would begin with a preshow talk from the stars of the movie. After that visitors would enter a drive-in theatre, where a simulated Twister would tear through the set.

The attraction was created with help from meteorologists to ensure that it accurately depict an F5 Tornado. It was an impressive special effects show featuring fire, water and even a flying cow!

Twitser... Ride It Out closed its doors last year and is set to become the home of Jimmy Fallon's Race Through New York in 2017.
