You've grown so used to people looking for arguments about anything and everything that you've just started nodding at whatever they say. Sometimes this makes it look like everything people tell you is completely new information, which makes them think that you know nothing, when at the end of the day you actually know more than you put on. If someone spreads gossip you already know about? Just nod. If someone asks about your opinion on a political matter? Just shrug. If someone asks if you know anything at all... just smile and wave.
