10 Problems Only Drunk People Would Understand

4. Knowing You Are Smashed At An Inappropriate Place And Trying To Play It Cool

Funeral It's a tricky situation, but at some point, most of us have been drunk when we shouldn't have been and had to play it very cool to appear sober- usually making complete fools of ourselves as we try too hard and over-compensate horribly. It can happen in lots of places, most commonly at weddings where it is just about borderline acceptable. Naturally, it becomes less acceptable at funerals and baptisms, meetings with your boss and meals with the in-laws. It is a difficult balancing act, on the one hand, it is encouraged and accepted to have a few social bevvies at these events, but very quickly you are steaming, thanks to the free table wine, or the lack of stomach lining afforded by the measly vol-au-vents . You then walk the fine line of trying to appear a collected and dignified individual like the peers around you, despite the obvious fact that you are spectacularly smashed. The celebrity example for this comes from the Kardashian family: Scott Disick who has suffered with sobriety problems enjoyed himself a bit too much at a 'Sweet Sixteen', leading to wife Kortney taking the moral high-ground and publically denouncing his despicable behaviour to the cameras.
