There are 52,000 nightclubs, bars and pubs in the UK. Assuming there's even one promo girl for each one, that's a hell of a lot of women battling it out every weekend to promote the venue that they work for. If your job is standing outside on the High Street in every variation of weather, pushing your bar or nightclub in the form of leaflets and market stall holder-type yelling, you'll probably understand that there are several problems you have to battle through to make your job worthwhile. And don't forget all the rounds you've done at the bar with your shot glass belt and bottle of cheap liquor. And all the selfies you've had taken with the punters (mainly male). And all the times you had to jump behind the bar because there just weren't enough staff. Promo girls everywhere: our hearts go out to you.
