10 Problems Only People From Pittsburgh Would Understand

2. Simultaneously Hating Cleveland And Baltimore

Rivalries are what make sports fun. Investing in the love of one time at the expense of another brings out the barbarian in us all. The Pittsburgh-Cleveland football rivalry is reminiscent of the Hatfields and McCoys; it's gone on for so long, neither side even remembers why they hate each other. In 1996, the worst possible thing happened to Pittsburgh fans. The Cleveland Browns, for whom Pittsburghers had wished dead for decades, were gone. The team was moved to Baltimore, re-named the Ravens, and the Browns were officially suspended. Same team, same players, new town, new name. It didn't take long before the vitriol was spewing between these two teams, and the rivalry was once again in full swing. All was well once again...until 1999, when the Browns were reinstated. Since then, Pittsburgh fans have been fighting a war on two fronts: One to the west and one to the south. Younger fans tend to get more wrapped up in the Ravens feud, as they have been a more competitive team. Old school fans though, they will always keep the bile burning for the Browns.
