8. Can Video Games Make Me Ill?

Judging from the blistering hand, prickling sensation and inability to grip properly, that's a bad case of Nintendinitis you've got there... it could possibly be an acute PlayStation thumb. There's a flood of health problems that have been related to heavy use of video games. It can cause repetitive strain injuries, skin disorders and muscular stiffness. We joked about disappearing from the world once GTA V was unleashed, but those playing around the clock were no doubt sporting Uncle Fester-like rings under their eyes, tense posture and sleep deprivation. All this can contribute to mental health issues such as increased aggression and depression: you just need to search the web for game-related deaths for proof excessive gaming can kill. In America, one kid died from seizures after playing Nintendo 64 for eight hours a day, six days a week. Another shot and killed his mother after she took away his copy of Halo 3. Grown men have suffered cardiac arrests after continuous gameplay. So, who's excited for Dark Souls 2 this month?
