5. Supply And Demand, At Its Finest
You've missed the rush. That meeting this morning, that little odd job you needed to do, well... it stopped you getting to the Apple Store before you'd even had breakfast. Being an avid Apple fan though, you're likely relieved that they have supplied enough phones to keep the people who want them immediately happy - or at least most of them. You'd think 'oh, well Apple have sold millions of iPhones on the first day before, surely they'll have enough in stock, right?' WRONG. It's either negligence, pure ignorance or sheer brilliance, but once that initial batch of phones have been sold over the first day and weekend, you're likely to get the line 'sorry, out of stock' in most places you dare try. But the bad news doesn't stop there. It's not unheard of that some have been made to wait up to three weeks to get their phone after they've missed the first cut. It's a cruel game.
