6. Ride The Hogwarts Express

Rather than walking all the way around CityWalk to get from one park to the other, you can let the train take the strain at Universal Orlando Resort.

Harry Potter fans can climb onto the Hogwarts Express for a pretty incredible train ride. You can travel, just like Harry, Ron and Hermoine from Kings Cross to Hogsmede.

The train itself takes you through the backstage areas of the park, and even though you have windows you won't see boring soundstages. Instead the windows show a pretty magical journey. You'll even catch a glimpse of your favourite characters, just make sure you watch out for the Dementors.

Universal really have spent a lot of time recreating the outside of Kings Cross Station, even down to the timetable which shows the correct train operators (and naturally a delayed train or two). There's even a little shop inside where you can pick up some traditional British snack or two for the train, including one of my favs a Tunnock's Caramel Wafer.

Of course you have to get onto Platform 9 3/4s before you can board the train. You get to walk right through the wall just like Harry did. It's a clever trick to watch, you'll even hear a magical sound effect as you go through.

You can also go back from Hogsmede to Kings Cross, which gives you a different experience on board the train to going the other way.

The wait time is rarely very high, so often it's quicker to use the Hogwarts Express than to walk from one park to the other.
