Witness Woozy Dell, who was on holiday at Ocean Isle at the time, noticed a series of bright dots in the night sky, changing colour and increasing in number. "I thought that's a strange light," recalled Dell. "Maybe it's a helicopter light, and I was watching them go, and they sorta did like a half circle. Then I saw another one come, and then I thought this is bizarre, and it got a little interesting." In total, the sighting lasted 17 minutes, during which time the lights changed between white, orange and red.
