10 Social Media Screw-Ups From Major Stars

2. One Direction Vs The Wanted

Directioners Vs Beliebers may be one of the longest running social media feuds, but this band argument could potentially have resulted in an actual fight. Zayne Malik and Max George€™s Twitter argument went from insulting each other€™s vocals to requesting that the conflict is taken outside. Zayne Malik branded Max George €˜Chlamydia boy.€™ This childish name calling showed how immature the X-Factor band can be, and The Wanted did little to deter the feud from escalating. The actual argument looked like the sort of dispute two thirteen year olds would have over MSN, but this conflict was enough to polarise fans of the two groups into trading insults when fans defended their favourite musicians against the attacks of other fans. The playground drama of this conflict makes it laughable, but it is a major screw up on the side of both bands considering that they are role models for a hoard of loyal fans. The ungraceful way in which the musicians fought each other is an indictment of the state of modern music; these pop stars look like they think they are foul mouthing a rival gang, when in fact this is little more than a spat that will bring attention and money to all those involved.
